Nestled in the north-east corner of East York, the O’Connor-Parkview neighbourhood has it all. Right close by, residents can enjoy plenty of urban amenities, from pharmacies, to post offices, coffee shops, restaurants, and more.
Other local shops and services are just across the street, including a Home Depot, East York Gymnastics Club, as well as other fun attractions like the Mill Street Brewery, Toronto Climbing Academy, and TKTO – Toronto Knife Throwing.
If you’re looking for a fun way to spend the day with the family, the Aga Khan Museum, Ontario Science Centre, and Sky Zone Trampoline Park are all just a short drive away.
Local parks and greenspace are never very far away. With nearby city parks like Topham Park, and Parma Park, which includes a swimming pool, residents will be able to get away and take in some fresh air and sun whenever they want. And if those parks aren’t enough, just five minutes by bicycle will take residents into the famous Don Valley, home to dozens of nature paths, and bike trails which connect to many ravines throughout the city.
The area is extremely walkable and convenient, with a walk score of 89.
Amsterdam Urban Towns is also located very close to Centennial College, Ashtonbee Campus, which is only 5 minutes away by car. This makes Amsterdam Urban Towns an excellent place for students looking for a short commute.
Along the “Golden Mile” of Eglinton, a great number of other excellent amenities, shops and restaurants are just a short drive or walk away. Eglinton Town Centre is an excellent nearby mall, with a Cineplex Odeon, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Best Buy, Walmart, and many more shops nearby.
Amsterdam Urban Towns will consist of a charming line of modular townhomes built along O’Connor Drive. One important feature it’s vehicle entrance to the underground parking area in the rear. Each townhome will have it’s own individual entrance on the ground-floor. Lower units will include patios with in-suite access, while upper units will have balconies and also rooftop terraces.
50 of the 52 units will be two-bedroom units, and will be two-storey stacked units. On the first floor, these units will have living and dining room areas with a kitchen, while the upper floors will have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
In the rear of the property, a one-story amenity space will serve townhome residents, with an additional outdoor amenity space as well. A complete list of amenities has not yet been released – to keep up-to-date, register now with MyCondoPro!
Amsterdam Urban Towns is in a convenient corner of East York that’s only expected to get more and more convenient in the next few years. That’s because quite soon, the Eglinton Crosstown LRT is expected to be finished, and will have a stop very close by.
The projected completion date of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT is set for 2022, which is in the same ballpark as Amsterdam Urban Towns. When it’s completed, residents of the area will have an easy connection across the GTA and a simple connection to the TTC subway line 1.
The LRT stop in question, O’Connor Stop, will be at the corner of Victoria Park Ave and Eglinton, and will be only a 15 minute walk from Amsterdam Urban Towns. This will be a game-changer for the neighbourhood, and will make this East York townhome feel much closer to downtown.
Connecting to the TTC is easy too, a simple 20 minute bus ride connects residents to Coxwell Station on the TTC Line 2, allowing for smooth travel east-west across the city, as well as an additional connection to Line 1.
By car, Amsterdam is already quite convenient – easy connections to the Don Valley Parkway mean commutes across the GTA are simple.

This corner of East York is a convenient, bustling area, and it’s expected that within the next ten years, this market will be heating up a great deal. With the completion of the Eglinton Crosstown, Topham Park, O’Connor-Parkview, Parma Court, and the surrounding areas will be seeing a large influx of development as infrastructure makes transportation in the area much more convenient. A northern pocket neighbourhood, this region will soon find itself with a great deal more attention from developers looking to capitalize on this relatively downtown area.
As condos rise and townhomes fill into the neighbourhood, property values are likely to increase greatly, making this area a smart place to look into investing.
