Vaughan has been rapidly growing since the beginning of the 21st century. Having nearly doubled in population since the early nineties, Vaughan is once again preparing for a real estate boom in the near future. New high-rise condominiums are being planned for the centre of the city – with emphasis on urban density and street-level activity. Street retail, boulevards, bike lanes, and green spaces will all lend a comforting, “downtown” feel to these new developments.
At the corner of Bathurst Street and Beverly Glen in Thornhill, Beverley will be located in a prime area of Vaughan. A number of charming parks are nearby, including Bathurst District Park, and Thornhill Green. Plenty of places to take children, relax with friends, or get some exercise. Just a few minutes drive, and residents will be able to enjoy even more green space and parks, including Concord/Thornhill Regional Park, Sugarbush Heritage Park, Hunter’s Point Wildlife Park, and the Uplands Golf & Ski Club.
A number of convenient box stores are just a short walk away, thanks to the Promenade, a classic indoor mall with many shops and services, including Imagine Cinemas, T&T Supermarket, and many apparel, and other shops.
Parents will be happy to know the area has a number of excellent schools nearby, including Rosedale Heights Public, Ventura Park Public, Wilshire Elementary School, St. Elizabeth Catholic High School, and many more all just a short drive away.
Beverley will rise 15 storeys and offer a wide range of suites with many layouts and room counts. Units will include a number of one-bedroom layouts, one-bedrooms plus den, two-bedrooms, two-bedrooms plus den, and even three bedroom units. These various suites will range from 462 square feet to 1,046 square feet, and each floor plan we’ve seen includes a terrace or balcony, which will allow residents a nice outdoor space to call their own, have their morning coffee, and take in the view.
Resident exclusive amenities will be varied and state-of-the-art. On the ground floor, a spacious indoor gym and basketball court will help residents keep fit, with floor-to-ceiling windows to keep the space naturally lit. On the second floor, a fully-equipped fitness centre including weights and modern exercise machines will accommodate residents as well, also including a wall of windows to bring in natural light.
On the seventh floor, a gorgeous party room will be the perfect place to host get-togethers, birthdays and more. Featuring couches and a stylish bar prep area, as well as televisions, this area will be an excellent place to unwind and relax with friends and neighbours as well. Outside on the seventh floor, the amenities continue with an outdoor terrace, including seating, tables, urban gardening, and BBQ areas for hosting meals as well as a play structure for children.
In addition to all these stellar amenities, the ground floor along Bathurst Street will feature 4,500 square feet of retail, bringing restaurants, services and shops directly to residents’ front door.
Transportation within the city and to its neighbouring municipalities within the York Region is simple and affordable, with the aptly named York Region Transit (YRT) providing unparalleled bus service and rapid transit with over 20 routes. A simple ten minute drive will bring residents to Finch Station, the northernmost station on one end of the Line 1 Yonge-University Line. From there, it’s a simple 40 minute ride to Union Station in the heart of Toronto.
Residents will also enjoy being close to the VIVA line, with a wide-array of connections all over York Region.
The entirety of southern Ontario is just a short drive away from Vaughan. Highways 400 and 427 serve as major expressways connecting the city of Vaughan to Barrie, Lake Simcoe, and the Muskoka region, as well as into the core of the city of Toronto. Meanwhile the city itself is laden with a grid of county roads, many of which are 4 to 6 lanes, and provide easy travel within the city’s unique communities, and act as an excellent alternative to the occasional congestion of the GTA’s major highways.
The highway 407 connects Vaughan with Pickering to the east, and Burlington to the west. A toll-based highway, the 407 is another popular alternative to the regular highways in the city.
The Daniels Corporation is one of the largest and most influential development firms in the GTA. With three decades of experience, they have built over 27,000 homes, from condominiums to apartments to townhomes, all across the city.
Founded with a strong sense of social ethics, Daniels has been instrumental in developing rental housing in Toronto that offers incentives and structure to assist people in eventually becoming homeowners. Partly due to this social service, they have been trusted by Toronto Community Housing to play a major role in the revitalization of the Regent Park area, and the results so far have been nothing short of spectacular – an impressive diversity of homes and demographics has brought about within the area, and it only seems to keep growing!
Recent projects include NY Place in the Bayview Village in North York, One Park West, nearby in Regent Park, and Festival Tower, a striking high-rise in the Entertainment District. Integrity, ingenuity and vision are the keys to their success, and with every new project, The Daniels Corporation continues to show why it’s a leader in the GTA.
Thornhill has been one of the GTA’s most quickly-densifying neighbourhoods. With a wide variety of neighbourhoods, townhomes and condominium projects, the area has just about everything residents of the GTA might need, and any lifestyle they might choose.
While the population is currently around 139,000, that number is expected to keep growing as the downtown core of Toronto continues to expand and densify. Since the mid 2000s, development has focused on building up, rather than out, and developers are finding new and better ways to build communities around condominium projects.
As these new communities begin construction, the average selling price of pre-construction condominiums in Vaughan sit in the low $400K range, but continue to rise, with the average price per square foot at around $679. Demand for Condos is skyrocketing for the city as a low vacancy rate encourages more development and the city continues its rapid growth.
Now more than ever, people are looking to areas like Vaughan to make their homes. Students will love the convenience or proximity to York University and Seneca, and with Vaughan Metropolitan Centre becoming the “new downtown core” of Vaughan, more and more development is occurring in the area.
These aspects all combine to make Beverley at Thornhill an ideal investment for buyers looking to add to their portfolio in the North York, and Vaughan area.
